A Community-Centered Model of Care
We are building toward a holistic, community-centered model of care that supports birthing people throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
This approach represents the early phase of a broader vision: a fully realized Birth Village—a space rooted in care, connection, and culturally responsive support.

The Birthing Village Model
Perinatal Care: To start, we aim to offer 8-10 hours of midwifery care, including co-care throughout pregnancy combining group education & individual visits.
Postpartum Care: We aim to provide midwifery postpartum, home visits and ongoing care for up to a year after the birth.
Proposed services: Childbirth education classes; maternal mental health care; doula services; parent-and-child groups; support groups; breastfeeding support; other basic needs support.
What We Are Building
In this initial phase, we are beginning to offer foundational services designed to nurture relationships, provide guidance, and create pathways to more equitable and affirming care.
Foundational Personalized Care (8–10 hours)
A set number of support hours to begin building trust and offering guidance throughout the perinatal journey.
Group and Individual Perinatal Care
A blend of group-based education and one-on-one visits that foster both community connection and individualized support.
A Co-Care Approach
Early pregnancy support that transitions into care with a primary provider who oversees clinical needs and delivery, while we remain a consistent source of guidance.
Continued Care and Support
Postpartum Continuity of Care
Ongoing support after birth to ensure families feel held, connected, and supported during the postpartum period.
Home-Based Support
When possible, in-home visits after birth to increase accessibility, comfort, and culturally grounded care.
Additional Support for Higher-Need Pregnancies
Complementary guidance offered alongside existing care teams, ensuring families receive layered and responsive support.
Structured Postpartum Check-Ins
Follow-up care that includes early visits and continued connection at 2, 4, and 6 weeks postpartum.
Holistic and Culturally Responsive Care
Support that centers emotional wellbeing, honors cultural practices, and offers early guidance for newborn care.
Looking Ahead
This is just the beginning.
Each offering is a step toward a future where birthing people and families are fully supported through a Birth Village model grounded in dignity, equity, and collective care.
